Name: Ailo Gaup
Nickname: Iceman
Sponsors: Rockstar Energy, Honda
Country: NOR
Bike: Honda
MotoX since: 1994
FMX since: 2000
Ailo has been riding motocross since 1994 and shortly after went straight into free riding and Freestyle Motocross. Coming from way up north, Ailo was turned on to MX early in his career and even went to a motocross boarding school. Named motor sport person of the year in Norway, Ailo is recognized as an extraordinary athlete not only in his home country but also abroad. Ailo has kept his head focused on becoming one of the best FMXers in the world.

In 2005 Ailo dominated the IFMXF and the only one who could beat him sometimes was Mat Rebeaud. Ailo was not only the first European rider to do the backflip in an IFMXF contest, but also the first one that extended the flip distance from 10 to 20 meters. In 2006 Ailo took a time off at the IFMXF and went to the USA, to ride shows and contests. So he came to the X-Games.

2007 Ailo had his comeback at the IFMXF and is on the best way to win the FIM Freestyle MX World Championships.
